Genesis launches "Managing for the Unexpected" stress testing seminar.

Boston, April 18, 2008 - Genesis has developed and delivered a new 2-day seminar on stress testing of banking group portfolios and business activities. The seminar, called Managing for the Unexpected, was delivered in London and Mexico City to one of the world’s leading global banks and will run eight times in various locations this year

Seminar content focuses on the thinking and planning required to carry out stress testing. The program then looks at the impact of assumptions and their effects on key measures of risk and capital adequacy, as well as the development of triggers to initiate remedial action and minimize loss.

“As banks develop risk adjusted measures of capital and stress test for capital adequacy within Basel II directives, training can serve as a shortcut to effectively implement these new processes.” says Joe Forte, President and stress testing instructor. “And given the recent experiences of most banks, it is clear that many did not have a good grasp of stress levels in their portfolios.”

Genesis leveraged its experience in risk and portfolio management to custom design this seminar, in close coordination with its multinational client.
