Genesis, in partnership with Florida International Bankers Association, delivers workshop on effective anti-money laundering training.

Boston, June 8, 2005 - In partnership with the Florida International Bankers Association, Genesis addressed the international banking community in South Florida by delivering a workshop on the topic, “Effective Anti-Money Laundering Training”.

Training and compliance specialists from Genesis facilitated a discussion on the challenges of delivering effective anti-money laundering training. Participants shared their ideas and experiences regarding the implementation of training that builds the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to comply with regulators' standards. The highly successful event was attended by a diverse group of 45 executives including compliance officers and assistants, managing directors of domestic and international banks, and human resource and training professionals.

Due to its strategic location, Miami is an international banking hub with strong operations in private banking and trade finance. But it is also a target for illicit money laundering activities. Thus, banks have been making great efforts to comply with ever-demanding regulations. In turn, banking regulators have been emphasizing the importance of effective training in meeting the compliance standards.
